Day 1: Arrival at Lhasa (No meals)
Welcome to Tibet! Your guide will greet you at Lhasa train station or CAAC bus station in Lhasa, transfer to hotel. Have a good rest to acclimatize the high altitude and drink some water, it is helpful to take things easy for the first few days.
Overnight at Lhasa.
Day 2: Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street (B)
Visit Potala palace this morning, it was originally constructed in 637 by Songtsen Gampo, the first king of the united Tibet, and later expanded and served as the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas as well as the religious-political nexus of traditional Tibet. Visit Jokhang temple this afternoon, the center of the Tibetan Buddhism and the sacred land of Buddhist followers where thousands of pilgrims come for worship everyday. Walk on the Barkhor street surrounding Jokhang, a big free market with its prolific stalls for selling local specialties. Visit Ani Tsamkhung nunnery in the old city,you can have a cup of tibetan traditional tea with the local peoples in the nunnery.

Day 3: Visit Ganden Monastery & Sera Monastery and the Summer Palace (B)
Make an excursion to Ganden monastery (4200m), which is the first of “great three” monasteries of Gelugpa of Tibet. It was founded in 1409 by Tsongkhapa, the originator of the Gelugpa. It worth hiking around the monastery with the pilgrims and take a bird's-eye view of the Kychu valley behind the monastery. After the picnic near the monastery drive back to Lhasa to visit Sera monastery, which is another one of “great three” monasteries of Gelugpa of Tibet and is famous by the monk’s debating between 15:00 to 16:30.

Day 4: Lhasa - Namtso sightseeing - Lhasa (B)
A full day for Namtso Lake(4718m), literally means “heavenly lake”, is the biggest lake in Tibet and the second biggest salt lake in China as well as the highest lake in the world. Namtso is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet, playing an important role among Tibetans. Drive along Changtang grassland, you can take the photos of the Nyenchen Thanglha snow mountain ranges near by the road.

Day 5: Exit from Lhasa (B)
Morning drive to Lhasa train station or Gongkhar airport, time to say goodebye to your guide and driver, end the trip.
